      The Shelter

The Delta Tau Delta fraternity house, or the Shelter, as we call it, was built in the 1960's, but continues to be one of the best kept fraternity houses at Tulane.  Located at 835 Broadway, only two blocks from campus, the Shelter has 18 rooms, a professional kitchen, a pool table and a big screen television.  Thanks to our fantastic chef and well-kept house, the Shelter is the only off-campus place a sophomore can live with a meal plan.

      What is Delt?

      Picture
Delta Tau Delta is an International Fraternity, with chapters across North America.  It is a brotherhood and friendship of men, sworn together through their fraternal oath.  It is an organization devoted to the valued of Truth, Courage, Faith and Power.  These values are manifested through community service, social interaction academic learning and brotherhood among members.

Delta Tau Delta is looking for men of the highest moral caliber and strength of character.  Men looking to gain the most out of their academic and social experiences in college and are willing to commit themselves to an excellent organization.

Delta Tau Delta prides itself on being built on a wide range of men, all of whom are involved in activities on campus and the community.  In order to fulfill the statement, "committed to lives of excellence," Delts participate in community service and other opportunities.  We are determined to help renew the city of New Orleans and our volunteering helps.  Our our official philanthropy is Adopt a School.

Delta Tau Delta also provides the opportunity to participate in an award-winning Pledge Education Program.  Pledges are given academic support, education about what it means to be a Delt, access to a vast social network, and an experience that will last a lifetime.

For more information about what it means to be a Delt and how to become one, contact the recruitment chair: Justin Avellar at javellar@tulane.edu

      Delts Don't Haze

      Picture
Delta Tau Delta is committed to a no-hazing policy.  We believe it is humiliating and a mockery of our core values.  The members of our chapter take pride in our brotherhood and believe it is friendship, not brutality, that drives us together.  Hazing is not tolerated at Beta Xi Chapter.  Pledging at Beta Xi chapter is, as most members would describe it, some of the most fun they have ever had.

      Athletics

      Picture
Delts participate in a number of intramural sports at Tulane.  We play in the inter-fraternity league and build teams for the following sports:
Flag Football, Softball, Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer, Indoor Soccer

Most members are on at least one team, and are always ready to cheer on each other.  Delts also support Tulane Athletics and are enthusiastic fans.
